Engineering
In Engineering, we built headphones. We learned how to build them, what materials are used in headphones, and decorated the outside of the headphones with materials that we brought or from the class. When we decorated the outside of our headphones, it had to relate with our social justice topic. We also needed to write a process paper, which is how we started creating the headphones to how we finished with the finishing touches.
English
In English, we each first wrote our own spoken word poem/song. Then after we performed it, we voted the top five best song/poem. The top five picks needed to create a group of 4 or 5 to create their own music video. Each person had a job, like director, producer, costume maker, editor, writer, and talent. We teamed up to created our music video.
Computer Science
In Computer Science, we had to create a twine. A twine is a website where we create a story. So we had to create a story about our social justice topic. My topic was about religious rights. So I wrote a story about a boy who moves from New York to LA for High School because his dad got a new job. He meets a girl who is Muslim. He soon witnesses something shocking.
